asiri design - watch to learn

If you're interested in building science, building design, and particularly building envelope construction, I highly recommend checking out Sharif Asiri's website and videos. This is by far the best construction-focused channel I’ve come across when it comes to building envelope design for different climate conditions, with a strong emphasis on air movement, condensation prevention, indoor air quality and moisture transfer mitigation. In Australia, we’re not widely adopting these practices—they're mostly limited to mid to high-end homes built to passive standards. However, not all of Asiri’s principles need to be fully implemented; there are many simple, practical steps we could take to make Australian homes far more comfortable in both hot and cold climates. His videos are short, well-structured, and straight to the point, using detailed section drawings and thorough explanations of what works, why it works, and how to apply it. I used to watch The Build Show for years, but as it grew, it became more product-driven and commercial. While it’s still a great resource, I find Asiri Design to be no-nonsense, knowledge-packed, and highly informative—all in short, digestible videos. Check out Asiri Design here: https://asiri-designs.com/videos He also has a YouTube channel under the same name. Enjoy!
